Hermi's Bridge
Paces Ferry Bridge Over the Chattahoochee

This historic iron bridge replaced Hardy Paces’ ferry, which started operation before Atlanta was incorporated. It cost about $10,000 to build and was jointly financed by Fulton and Cobb counties to ease traffic bottlenecks across the Chattahoochee caused by the ferry. It was named for Hermi Alexander after she was killed in an automobile accident by a drunk driver. Cecil Alexander is raising funds for paint, maintenance and a structural assessment.
